Read obituary FESSH Academy Foundation Course 2022 FESSH Academy Foundation Course – 23-26 February 2022 in Budapest, Hungary – In case the pandemic allows us to hold a live event, the standard registration will open in January. Read more on event website FESSH Academy Advanced Course 2021 – Report FESSH Academy Advanced Course was held 18-20 November 2021. 208 participants from 39 countries were educated by 21 international faculty members. The 3 day webinar focused on arthritis in the wrist and hand. The course was aimed at established surgeons and included tips and tricks from internationally recognised experts in the field. Firsova, Russia Registration Congratulations to the Basic Research Grant winner The FESSH Research Committee is happy to announce that the winner of the 2022 FESSH Basic Research Grant is Dr Mauro Maniglio from Lausanne University Hospital (Switzerland) with the project “Bone marrow adipocytes: Unrecognized regulators of pathological bone remodelling in carpometacarpal osteoarthritis of the thumb”. Read more Vacancy for the role of ‘Editor’ of the Journal of Hand Surgery (European Volume) This position has a three-year tenure (extendable) and is available from 1st April 2022. The successful applicant will work with six other Editors under the guidance of the Editor-in-Chief. The successful applicant will be a hand surgeon with a significant history of reviewing and publishing. Previous experience as an editorial board member of JHSE or an equivalent journal is highly desirable.
